Day 6 – Going Home

We were woken up by the bow thrusters as we pulled into port. Just like the last two days, we had a breakfast of pizza and fresh fruit. We strolled around the ship one last time and went to our room to wait for the call to disembark. It was a relatively easy process. It was kind of like arriving back into the USA from a foreign country, only the security people were all friendly.

We arrived at the airport five hours early. When we made the cruise and flight arrangements, the travel agent for Carnival recommended a mid afternoon flight. Now we are in the airport waiting to come home. Hopefully we will pass through security soon. We are in front of the Disney store and Kim is itching to buy some more stuff! Since we were so busy on the ship, we didn’t get to work on this blog. We got caught up on the bus ride and here at the airport. It is a long wait here at the airport, but we have free internet.

We are in Detroit, Rock City, right now. We took a lap around the terminal to help walk off dinner and maybe several of yesterday’s dinners. We should get into Erie around 10:30 pm. We have to stop at Wegmans on the way home so we have some food for tomorrow. It will be a long one hour drive home from there.
